# Distributor

A distributor brings investors to a fund. With Nivo for Distributors, a distributor opens a payment session for one of the fund's schemes. The investor then completes the fund's own journey, and the purchase is made with the distributor's ARN.

Nivo for Distributors is enabled per business. Contact Glomo support to set it up.

## The relationship with a fund

A distributor can open sessions only for a fund it has a relationship with. Glomo sets up the relationship with the fund's agreement. It holds:

- **Your ARN for that fund.** Glomo uses it on every purchase made in a session you open.
- **The schemes you may sell.** The fund chooses them, scheme by scheme.

Only regular-plan schemes can be distributed. A direct plan pays no distributor, so it is refused.

The fund or Glomo can disable a relationship. A disabled relationship refuses new sessions with a 403. Sessions you already opened are not affected.

## What the relationship fixes

When you open a session, Glomo takes these values from the relationship and the scheme, not from your request:

| Value | Where it comes from |
| --- | --- |
| Fund and session type | The fund that owns the scheme. The session runs the fund's journey. |
| ARN | Your relationship with the fund. A `distributor_arn` in your request is ignored. |

The investor sees your ARN on the checkout, but cannot change it. If a changed value reaches Glomo, it is replaced with the ARN saved when the session was created. For a fund whose registrar is CAMS, Glomo checks the ARN with CAMS before the purchase is accepted.
