# Customize your report

Choose which fields appear in a standard report and the order they appear in. Your layout is saved and used for every future download of that report, including [scheduled reports](/reports/scheduled-reports), so you set it up once instead of editing the file each time.

Each report card shows how many fields the report has and whether it uses the **Default** layout or a **Custom** one.

## Edit the fields in a report

The Edit fields window looks like this:

To go back to the standard layout, click **Restore to default** in the Edit fields window, then click **Restore** to confirm. Your custom layout is removed straight away.

## Fields you can include

Fields are grouped into categories. The categories and fields available depend on the report. For example, the Payments report has Payment, Fees, Customer, Payment method, Bank transfer, Invoice, Investment, Platform, Notes and Custom fields.

Some fields need explaining:

| Field or category | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Always included** | Fields that are in every download of the report and can't be removed, for example Payment ID and Created at. You can still move them. |
| **Custom fields** | The [custom fields](/payin/custom-fields) set up for your account by Glomo. Values come from what you enter when creating payment links, subscriptions or orders, or what you send in `notes` via the API. Available in the Payments, Subscriptions and Settlement reports. |

## How your layout is applied

Each report type has one saved layout for your account. When you change it, every future download and every scheduled report of that type uses the new layout.

Reports already generated aren't affected.
